StepChange’s own Kevin Tate participated in a panel discussion of social media experts at SEMpdx’s Social Media SixPack event this Tuesday at the Hotel deLuxe here in Portland. The general topic of discussion was how to use tools from several different disciplines together as part of an integrated approach to social marketing.
Kevin spoke specifically on strategies relating to Facebook, widgets and apps, alongside a set of Portland social media luminaries:
- Christopher Mike of RocketXL
- Hallie Janssen of Anvil Media
- Ken Muraoka of CMD
- Kent Schnepp of EngineWorks
- Scott Hendison of Search Commander
It’s always impressive to see just how knowledgeable the SEMpdx crowd is. There’s no doubt that the organization and the audience it attracts are true assets for the Portland internet marketing community.
It’s also interesting to see how the intersection of SEO and Social Media has evolved, to the point where they’re no longer two separate approaches but rather two major components of a holistic online strategy. We’re extremely grateful to SEMpdx for giving us the opportunity to participate in that discussion, and we look forward to keeping the conversation going.
