Launching a Facebook Photo Contest for Nestle Crunch

With 68,000 fans and counting, Nestle Crunch enjoys a healthy following on Facebook.

To “activate” that fan base, we worked with our Agency partner, Ogilvy, to create a Photo Contest that lets users compete in four categories taken from our grade-school days.

The Flash interface to put faces (uploaded pics or from Facebook) into the various cut-outs is actually pretty slick… with crop, scale, color & rotation tools all built in Flash AS3.

Photo contests & galleries – especially ones that don’t require too much “work” on the part of the user – are a good way to create fan momentum with some rich posts to the wall using the StreamPublisher API.

Nestle’s contest started this week and runs through the end of the year – so if you’d like a shot at a month’s worth of Nestle Crunch bars… go check it out!
