We were fortunate enough to move to a pretty sweet office space in back in January – original wood beams from 1890, a lounge area, bike hangers, a beer tap… and it’s situated close to the Park blocks in the Pearl.
Each first Thursday of the month people flock to the Pearl to check out art from the various galleries. We’re not a gallery but thought it would be fun to open up our space and give some exposure to local artists.
Since many of us commute to work by bike we thought it appropriate to host an event which showcases some of the artists in the growing field of bicycle frame building. It was about a year ago when BikePortland said Portland “is the epicenter for America’s bike-making renaissance”
We’re excited to host 7 local frame builders on Thursday, August 6th, from 6 until 9pm. We’ll have tunes, beer, additional “bikeracker” parking and amazing works of functional art.
So head on over to Glisan and NW 9th to see some of the amazing frame building talent in Portland.

Sounds like fun … see you there!
I was very excited to read about bikeportland’s post this morning about your bike-centric first first thursday and was wondering if you might consider my work for your second first thursday. Please visit my art blog for images of my bike-y paintings.
Thanks!
