Over the past few months, we’ve had the pleasure of working with the team starting up Second Porch. They are a great Portland company that lets people “friendsource” vacation homes (and lets renters work with people they know and trust). It is a truly awesome idea that we believe could turn the vacation rental market on its head.
We’re also very proud of the Facebook application we worked with them to develop - ”Rent & Trade Vacation Homes”, which helps source rental inquiries from friends and trusted guests using Facebook.
Looking at the map, I can see that I’m connected to two friends and three renters who have houses on the Oregon Coast. Hmm….
They’ve already received some great press at Smart Money, and are picking up members and properties quickly in Facebook.
